33 weeks update & Modest Maternity

The baby’s head is down! Yay! Now let’s pray he stays there. I’m sure he will as I have “normal” labor and deliveries. With Cipher and Sahwin my labor from time of induction to delivery was 13 hours and 9 hours. I’m hoping that by using my new found knowledge on our God given abilities to labor and applying it to our choice of opting out on induction, that this labor might go faster.

I do have some prayer requests. If you ladies could pray for not only the health and safety of baby and I, but also a blessed hospital delivery I would really appreciate it. I get my prenatal care from a midwifery clinic that is part of the hospital. They have 7 different midwives and there is no telling on who will be on call when I deliver. So far, I really click with two of them. One of them is so soft and nurturing I can really picture being comfortable and confident while delivering. My request is for prayer that we will have an awesome team of nurses and the right midwife. Someone who is soft, caring, compassionate and motherly. For those of you who have had a hospital birth before know that too many times nurses and Dr’s can make it obvious that we are on their time, their routine, and on their plan that they are comfortable with. Not so comfortable, for the patient, is it?

I know God is in control and he knows what is best for us and what my heart desires. What may seem unideal for me during my stay might be perfectly ideal and I just don’t know it
